Food for Thought at Barfblog

Kevin O'Keefe at Real Lawyers Have Blogs points us to the International Food Safety Network's new endeavor: the Barfblog.  Clever name...and an even more clever concept.  This blog talks about everything concerning food safety issues, including the recent E. Coli scare with Johnny Depp's daughter.  But celebrity food scares are not their main milieu.  Check out some of the other categories including the Yuck Factor (I won't describe this page), Culture of Food Safety, and Food Safety Communication.

Live Universe and Brad Greenspan

I was fortunate enough to meet Brad Greenspan, founder/CEO of Live Universe (and the original brain and founder of MySpace) on Wednesday night at a Business Forum event.  Brad is no longer involved with MySpace, which was bought by News Corp., but he is embarking on bigger and better ventures in the social networking world including:

• Livevideo.com:  A newer, hipper YouTube with original and user generated content including videos and online shows including ShatnerVision featuring William Shatner
• Borba:  Promoted as "drinkable and topical skincare"
• BroadWebAsia.com:  A community of social networking companies in Asia "focused on forming the largest online network of community, entertainment and search in Asia."

I was impressed with Brad's candor, idealism and outlook for the future on social networking.  Check out the sites above and see for yourself...
